Student Representative Council (SRC)
The CPUT student body is represented on the various decision making structures at the university by a Central Student Representative Council (CSRC) and four Local Student Representative Councils. Local Representative Councils are situated on the Bellville, District Six, Mowbray and Wellington Campuses.The various Student Representative councils at the CPUT fall under Student Governance. In addition to the SRC, Student Governance activities include meeting skills, Leadership training for executive members of student clubs and societies as well as SRC training.

On behalf of the SRC, I would like to warmly welcome you to the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) and congratulate you on beginning this exciting new chapter of your life.
CPUT is on a journey to becoming the largest Institution of Technology in Africa, and as you join us on this journey, you become part of a growing community of innovators, leaders, and future professionals. Your presence here matters, and your success is important to us.
As the SRC, we have a duty to ensure that your transition from high school to varsity is as smooth and supportive as possible, and we are fully committed to fulfilling that responsibility. You are not alone in this journey, we are here to represent you, support you, and amplify your voice.
