Records Management
Records Management
The Records Management Unit assists University faculties, departments and offices to improve their record keeping practices. Records are one of the most valuable resources of the University. Records provide evidence of decision making, transactions, detail rights and responsibilities, show legislative and institutional compliance, and ensure continuity and efficiency.
Records management is the systematic control of records throughout their life cycle (creation, receipt, maintenance, use and disposition) to ensure compliance with legal, historical, regulatory, and operational requirements. The Records Management Unit provides advice, guidance, training, and various tools to help offices effectively manage their records.
