As a key component of a quality assurance system, the quality improvement function will ensure that a planned programme of activities and quality improvement plans are developed, approved, validated and monitored for continuous improvement and reporting back to management and institutional governance structures on the critical aspects identified in the quality reviews and cyclical validation of QIPs.
