The Quality Management Directorate is the custodian of the quality function within the institution and reports to the Executive Director: Office of the Vice Chancellor for operational duties, the Quality Assurance and Risk Management Committee for quality assurance matters and the Institutional Strategic Planning Committee for university strategy-related matters.

The directorate frames its strategic planning within the context-based approach on the national and institutional imperatives and other developments in the higher education quality environment.

QMD is dedicated to providing expertise on Quality Management to guide the institution in becoming Africa’s leading Smart University of Technology, globally renowned for innovation, with graduates who shape a better world for humanity.
