HE Transformation Summit Report
The Stakeholder Summit on Higher Education Transformation, (which will be noted as HE Summit), was called by the Minister of Higher Education and Training, Dr Blade Nzimande, and held during the 22nd to 23rd April 2010 at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, Bellville campus, Cape Town. The Ministry invited a range of stakeholders from the higher education system as well as representatives from the education and training system such as schooling, FET Colleges, SETAs and other government departments, which are interlinked with higher education in the new education landscape.

Summit Commission Reports
In preparation for the Stakeholder Summit on Higher Education Transformation, stakeholders were invited to participate in an online forum, as well as to submit inputs via email to the Department of Higher Education and Training. The reports are in the form of presentations, which serves as summaries of key issues and recommendations arising from these inputs. The intention was to feed into the deliberations at the summit. EE Amendment Act
The purpose of the Act is to achieve equity in the workplace, by a) promoting equal opportunity and fair treatment in employment through the elimination of unfair discrimination; and b) implementing affirmative action measures to redress the disadvantages in employment experienced by designated groups, to ensure their equitable representation in all occupational categories and levels in the workforce.
