The Department of Biotechnology and Consumer Science has developed teaching resources that will be used by women empowerment organisation, Vheneka as well as at CPUT in practical studies.

The Service-Learning and Civic Engagement Unit (SLCEU) recently joined hands with the Business Unit to distribute beds and mattresses to community organisations as part of their Social Investment Project.

Senior lecturer in the Department of Chemical Engineering Extended Curriculum Program, Dr Moses Basitere, together with Prof Fanelwa Ngece-Ajayi from the University of the Western Cape delivered over 200 copies of study guides in two schools in Khayelitsha.

Inspiring hope was at the heart of a recent Service-Learning project in the Southern Cape town of Mossel Bay.
