Women’s Month
The annual Shero Campaign is ready to swing into action in the month of August, and once again we want your help to celebrate the wonderful women of CPUT.
Nominations have opened for the Shero Social Media Campaign and this year the theme is; Celebrating All of You. The myriad of miracles which make women wonderful.
In 2024 we want to shine the light on the woman you are outside of work. Do you know an incredible woman making a difference in the community or perhaps you are that inspiring individual?
Tell us how you go the extra mile in achieving your personal goals like helping the elderly or youth, singing, running marathons, hiking mountains, helping your community through volunteering, biking or cycling… the list goes on and on.
You are invited to nominate yourself or a female colleague, who you think fits this bill. These stories will be shared on all CPUT social media channels - Twitter (X), Instagam and Facebook.
We will be inviting nominations throughout the month of August, so please click this link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/63R8GM and include a high-resolution photograph of the nominee when you submit.
Then don’t forget that the Marketing and Communication Department is busy compiling a calendar of events being hosted across campus so that you know exactly what is happening.
The highlight of the month will be the popular Women’s Month Campus Fun Run/Walk. Last year the winner was Tharwat Sakier with Octavia Daniels in second place, and Dr Bronwyn Swartz in third place. If you think that you have what it takes to challenge them then start training and look out for the mail containing more details closer to the time.
