During the week preceding the Installation of the first Chancellor of CPUT, the public is invited to attend the inaugural addresses of Prof Dhiro Gihwala and Prof Simeon Davies.
Both staff members received ad hominem promotions to the post of Full Professor in June 2008. Prof Gihwala serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Health and Wellness Sciences. Prof Davies is the Head of the Department of Sports Management.
