Entrance Requirements

Grade 12 and working in a health-related service or program

Target Audience

Nurses / Nursing assistants
Emergency Unit / ER / ICU staff
Primary Healthcare Clinic Staff / Community Healthcare Workers
Laboratory staff / POCT users, Co-Ordinators and Managers
Phlebotomists
Hospital Physicians / General Practitioners and staff
EMTs, Paramedics, Ambulance staff
Pharmacy & Pharmacy Clinic Staff
Wellness and Health Clinics

Course Structure

The course is held over 5 days with Theoretical Online lectures for 3 days and Practical hands-on sessions for 2 days.
There are 9 Modules covering the Theoretical and Practical aspects of POCT
Online assessments after completion of each Module
CPUT Certificate as POCT Professional will be issued after successful completion of all the course requirements.
Course is CPD accredited: 6 CEUs per day.
